LBH is partnering with Headway.co

Throughout 2025, LBH is planning to optimize and expand its services. Part of this effort will include a partnership with Headway.co

Headway is a mental health platform that provides access for patients across the country by linking patients with providers. An integral aspect of the Headway platform is their billing systems. Headway will handle all billing for services provided by LBH clinicians for those who are eligible and choose to opt in.

Eligible patients are those who have insurance that Headway is contracted with. These include most Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna & United Healthcare Plans.

Patients that do not have one of those plans, those who are uninsured and those with Medicare and Medicaid will continue to receive services and be billed directly by LBH for the time being. Not to worry, we have a few other projects up our sleeves to better serve these clients.

Patients who are eligible to participate through Headway, but choose not too, can continue to receive and be billed directly by LBH until further notice. At some point later in 2025, LBH will be cancelling its contracts with these payers. At that time, patients eligible for Headway, who choose to opt out will be able to take advantage of LBH’s private pay options.

Starting in late March, current patients will receive an email from Headway.co inviting them to create a profile and submit their information. Please note: this is NOT a scam. We are asking all current clients to complete this process.

As part of this transition, you’ll be asked to provide essential information, including your insurance details and a payment method for any applicable copayments. A card on file will be required. Headway will verify your benefits and automatically charge your card for any copayments, coinsurance, or deductible amounts.

Once this system is in place, all billing and payments will be handled through Headway.co. Until then, LBH will continue to manage billing and payment processing. Our top priority during this transition is ensuring uninterrupted care for all of our clients.

If Headway notifies you that your insurance plan is not accepted, please don’t panic. LBH will continue to work with you and will bill directly for your services through the end of 2025.
